The cleanest completion route is to finish story mode first, collect Loomis Logs during chapter replays, then make focused Michael and Civilian matches for counter-based goals. Do not chase every condition in one game: stack only compatible tasks, finish the match or chapter, and check that progress saved before repeating it.

This page is a player roadmap, not a claim that every platform has an identical list. The public PS5 list currently has 51 trophies including the Platinum, while the Steam store confirms that the PC edition supports achievements. Use the condition groups below to plan your time; open your own platform list for its exact title, hidden entry, and progress display.

Start with this completion order

  1. Finish all six story chapters normally. Learn the level flow before you attempt strict context kills or score goals.
  2. Replay story chapters for all secondary challenges and one perfect-score chapter. Use the story challenges guide rather than mixing every condition into a blind first run.
  3. Collect the 14 currently documented story recordings during those replays with the Loomis Logs locations guide.
  4. Play Michael matches for kill, stalk, darkness, hiding-spot, and weapon conditions.
  5. Switch to Civilian and Loomis for escape, rescue, car, police, call, and stun tasks.
  6. Leave long counters—multiplayer matches, residents helped, targets stalked, pumpkins, and similar totals—to grow naturally while doing the shorter goals.

This order prevents a common waste of time: restarting the campaign for a tape, then restarting again for a challenge that could have been completed on the same chapter replay. It also keeps role-specific online objectives separate, so one bad Michael match does not ruin an otherwise useful Civilian session.

Story, challenges, and collectibles

The story-side conditions are the best early targets because they teach you the systems that later appear in multiplayer. The current public trophy list includes completion trophies for Smith's Grove, The Road to Haddonfield, Main Street, Returning Home, The Babysitters, and Into the Shadows, plus full story completion. It also includes a reward for clearing all secondary challenges in one chapter and another for earning a perfect chapter score.

Make a simple three-line note for each replay: chapter, missing goal, and whether you reached the result screen. For example, use a Chapter 2 replay for one contextual challenge and its nearby recording, then end the chapter normally. For a perfect score attempt, skip optional experimentation, follow the core path cleanly, and restart immediately after a clearly failed condition instead of carrying uncertainty to the finale.

Collector belongs in this same block. The community route documents 14 recordings, but its public description does not establish a universal unlock rule. Pick up every listed recording, finish the chapter, and check your platform's progress. If the reward stays locked, capture the final pickup and result screen before doing another full sweep; that evidence is much more useful than repeating all six chapters without knowing which interaction failed.

Michael goals: build one match around one action

Many Michael conditions are counters. You can progress 100 and 250 resident kills, 100 fully stalked victims, 50 lights cut, 10 context executions, victims pulled from hiding, and thrown-weapon kills over several normal matches. Do not throw a winning match away to force the final increment; use each lobby to add a few deliberate actions while still defending exits.

For condition-based goals, state your plan at match start:

Goal typePractical setup
Full stalkShadow one target until the stalk completes, then move on; do not interrupt the meter for a fast kill.
Bush stalkFind a stealth bush early and wait for a resident to enter its range before striking.
Kitchen-knife executionKeep the knife, build the required stalk state, and save one isolated target for the execution.
Hiding-spot executionSearch houses methodically and use the context prompt when a resident is inside, rather than attacking through a normal chase.
Exit pressureSave one final target near an open escape or car; this is the natural place for short timing and distance conditions.

The public list also includes victories with restricted weapon use and specific executions. Give those their own match. A knife-only win or a throw-kill attempt becomes far easier when you decide before the first chase that the match is about that condition, not about every possible counter.

Civilian and Loomis goals: create safe attempts

Civilian goals reward steady team play. You can accumulate residents convinced, residents sent to hiding, successful escapes, knockdowns, thrown hits, rescues from Michael's grasp, cut chains, and police calls while playing normally. To make a match count, tell the group which interaction you need: “I am taking the phone,” “I need the car escape,” or “leave the resident for my rescue.” That one callout avoids accidentally duplicating the same task.

For the car conditions, gather residents before committing to the exit and confirm who is driving. The public list includes a full-car escape and a drunk-driving escape, so those should be separate, calm attempts. For bolt cutters, route through locked chains or padlocks whenever it is safe rather than carrying them to the end unused. Loomis has separate conditions around detaining Michael, dropping him with all six revolver shots, and returning to a match as Loomis; prioritize communication and a protected firing line over chasing a solo highlight.

When progress does not unlock

Finish the match or chapter before you inspect the list. Several conditions are match-end or chapter-end checks, so quitting early can make a correct action look like a failure. Then use this short recovery sequence:

  1. Read the exact platform condition and make sure the action was context-based, not a normal kill or stun.
  2. Repeat only that action in a fresh completed match or chapter.
  3. Save a short clip showing the action, final result, platform, and current game version if it still does not count.
  4. Check official hotfix notes and submit the evidence through the game's support route instead of looping the same attempt.

IllFonic's first Early Access hotfix included challenge-tracking fixes, and player reports still describe occasional missing progress for some counters. A tidy record gives a future patch or support ticket something actionable to work with.

Sources and a sensible endpoint

Conditions above were checked September 8, 2026 against the public PS5 trophy list, the Steam store page, and IllFonic's progression overview. Steam confirms achievement support but does not currently expose a public achievement-stat page for this app, so this guide does not relabel PS5 conditions as a complete Steam list. Once your chosen platform's entries are done, the Platinum or equivalent completion reward is the natural final check—not a reason to repeat already-completed counters blindly.
