Use the water tower, Lampkin Lane, the Strode house, and the Myers' house to orient Haddonfield Heights. For a fast opening, sweep the nearest north edge for an exit interaction, cut through the 808–800 homes for reported interior objectives, then finish toward the McKinzie Lane water-tower end.
Recognise Heights before the opening sweep
This official flythrough helps identify landmarks. It is not a client-side test and does not establish fixed objective or item spawns.
Quick match plan
- Identify your closest anchor: the north streets, Lampkin Lane homes, the Victoria Way/Edgemont Street loop, or the water-tower end.
- If the team needs an exit, check the nearest outer edge first. Name the road or landmark and confirm the interaction before calling it an exit.
- While moving through the middle, check the 808–800 homes and nearby Lampkin Lane blocks for the reported sedan and CB-radio objective clusters.
- If nothing is active in that sector, rotate to the next named area instead of having the whole team repeat the same houses.
Landmarks and callouts
IllFonic names the Strode house, the abandoned Myers' house, Lampkin Lane, modest family homes, and a large water tower as the defining Heights landmarks. The map description and flythrough make these the most useful shared vocabulary for a squad.
Use short, specific calls: “north edge by Syracuse,” “Lampkin homes,” “808 interior,” “Victoria loop,” or “water-tower end.” House numbers such as 705, 805, 803, 808, 800, 918, and 854 are clearer than “the house on the left” when the team is split.
Exit and objective possibilities
The community Spawn Locations guide reports exit-gate, sedan, and CB-radio markers around the Syracuse Avenue/La Mirada Way edge, Lampkin Lane, the Victoria Way/Edgemont Street loop, and the McKinzie Lane water-tower side. Use those areas as a sweep order:
| Need | Start here | Then rotate to |
|---|---|---|
| Exit interaction | Nearest north outer edge around Syracuse/La Mirada | McKinzie Lane and the water-tower end |
| Sedan or CB radio | Lampkin Lane and the central 808–800 homes | Victoria/Edgemont, then the outer loop |
| A team regroup point | A confirmed resident or usable objective | The next named landmark, not an unconfirmed pin |
This route gives the team a next action even when the first marker is absent. For the full four-map scan order, including Orange Grove Estates, Town Center, and East Haddonfield, see exit and CB radio locations.
Civilian route: split the search, then converge
At the opening, send one Civilian through the closest outer exit zone while another passes through the central homes for sedan or radio checks. The remaining players can keep resident and container progress moving near a shared landmark. Report the object, whether its interaction is usable, and the nearest callout—not merely the area you searched.
When an exit sequence becomes available, regroup before beginning it when possible. The multiplayer overview says an escape creates substantial noise and reveals the Civilian's exact position to Michael. A useful call is: “exit ready at south water tower, one escort needed,” followed by the item or action still required. If the interaction is not present, pivot immediately to the next zone in the table.
Civilian mid-match decisions
When the outer sweep finds a resident but no exit, keep one player near that resident and send the fastest available teammate through the next interior cluster. When the central sweep finds a usable sedan or radio, stop treating the outer route as the team's only plan: announce the object, name the nearest landmark, and decide whether one escort is enough or the whole squad should rotate.
If Michael appears during the search, do not make every player abandon a separate confirmed task. The player nearest the threat should call Michael's direction and move toward the agreed regroup landmark; the others should finish only the interaction that is already safe to complete, then converge. This preserves information and prevents a single sighting from turning the team into four isolated runners.
Michael route: turn confirmed calls into pressure
Do not spend the opening camped at one famous house. Instead, listen for confirmed objective calls, then take the shortest available path toward the named sector while keeping Civilians between you and their likely regroup route. An announced exit or radio gives you a stronger target than an assumed spawn.
Around a confirmed objective, use the documented darkness and sight-line rules for Shape Jump, Shape Dash, light controls, and Blackouts to approach unseen where the current scene allows it. If Civilians abandon a sector, reset at the next reported edge or central loop rather than chasing an old callout through every house.
At an active exit, place pressure on the approach routes first and make Civilians choose between protecting the interaction and scattering through the residential loop. At a radio or sedan call, arrive by the route that cuts off the team's regroup point rather than following the reporting player from behind. Heights gives both sides enough named anchors to turn a short voice call into a focused response.
Calls that keep the map readable
- “North gate checked, no interaction; rotating to 808.”
- “CB radio visible, central 800 block; I need one cover.”
- “Resident at Victoria loop; regroup after the outer sweep.”
- “Exit active at water-tower end; Michael seen coming from Lampkin.”
Keep each call to one target, one location, and one needed response.
The landmark names come from IllFonic; the objective areas come from the linked community capture. The verification panel above records the source limits so the route can stay readable without presenting a reported point as a permanent spawn.
Patch 1.1.0, reviewed October 8, 2026, changes Special Target spawns across all maps, escape-item availability, and Pocket Knife/Mysterious Item clustering. Cellar/Gate capacity is reduced and escape discovery distance grows with match time. It also improves Stalk sight lines and certain navigation, hiding-spot, and pickup cases. No replacement objective coordinates are published. Keep older captures as search references and check current prompts, capacity, and the timer; no map-route retest is claimed.
